Charles (Chuck) J Gibson
Between my junior and senior years at Greenville High School, the summer of 1968, I worked for Gust Construction on an addition to the Meijer store which was then located on North Lafayette Street. Being a teenager with no special construction skills, I was a general laborer. Mr. Abbey was the supervisor at that site. I remember his youthful energy, and his patient helpfulness towards the newbie, as I knew next to nothing about building and all the different jobs that it required. It was one of the best real world learning experiences, and for this I owe him a debt of gratitude.
