Almost son in law misses almost father in law. He lived, loved, served, and was one of the precious few the lord put on this earth to show all of us how we should conduct ourselves . Hope he still
has the mold as we need many more like Charles.
As one of many Grandchildren Grandpa had, I'm pretty confident in saying that he was the definition of what a Grandpa should be. He taught life lessons, kept us laughing(especially with
Creep-O-Mousey) and always left us with wise words. He will be forever missed on Earth, but I'm sure him and God are up there laughing and joking Love you Grandpa, we'll see you later.
Charles was a great person & so friendly. We new him in Dimondale & our prayers go out to the family
Charles you are the best person that I have known for some time always pulling a funny on some one and getting a kick out of it, a great brother-in-law anyone could ask for. Will miss you Love Bonnie
Chuck was a great churchman. He loved to usher congregants to their seat. Always stood straight and smiling. He was a man of God!
Chuck was a wonderful man. He always had something funny to say and made everyone feel so special. I loved him and Nyda and enjoyed so much my time in Dimondale because of them.

Michiganders. We so enjoyed our caravans to Gleason with you two and the Patenges. You both have been special people and fun people to us.

I have known Chuck Barrix most of my life. When I was very young, he would humor me with his broken/separated finger illusion. Later, when he referred to someone who was ailing, he would dangle one
arm to the side and say "The swifolagister slipped off the prejumpt, which dislocated the jazzpin." Later, in 1970, my brother Lynn was scheduled to return to the USA from Viet Nam. Lynn received
unexpected orders to pack up and board the next plane 9 days ahead of schedule. We knew nothing about it. Lynn arrived at Capital City Airport and saw Steve Barrix there in uniform. Chuck and Nyda
were on their way to get Steve, and brought Lynn home with them. They left Lynn off at the end of the driveway so he could walk in the back door of the farmhouse and surprise us!
I have so many fun memories of Chuck, Nyda and family. Chuck was such a funny man, he always made me laugh. I remember family vacations to Tennessee, Mammoth Cave, where a bat landed on Sue's foot.
We laughed, but I don't think Sue thought it was so funny. I remember when Marsha and I at about age 9 or so wanted to get into a fight on her corner. We both went home to get permission from our
moms and dads. Surprisingly, they all said it was okay. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Nyda, Steve, Marsha and Sue.
