From the very first day we met sonny, he had treated my wife and I like a long time resident of the Carney (Jam Dam) area. From going on the Trail ride with the family, to the barbecue we had at our house Sonny had been just an amazing person just to be in the presence of. He will be missed by all who knew him however his legacy will forever live on. I enjoy looking at the masterpiece he created from my living room window and the insane amount of deer that love to hang out on his property.
Sonny, your watch is over sir, I'll take it from here, may you forever rest peacefully. Every time we ride the trails, we'll be riding in your honor.

An eternal guard in heavens so vast,
A veteran’s soul, their duty cast.

Sonny was the best roommate I ever had, hands down. We had a lot of fun together as well as serious discussions. When we worked at the Mill together stapling redwood picnic tables and benches together, he would sing "we all live in a yellow submarine" until I didn't want to hear that song again. Sometimes there would be a welcome switch to "Hey Jude" or some other tune. Every time I hear those songs now I think of Sonny.
While I will miss Sonny, I know it has to be especially difficult for Barb and the boys. My sympathy and love go out to the family in this time of grief. As we dwell on the happy memories of Sonny, we will be comforted in knowing our next meeting with him will be with a renewed and healthy body. Blessings to you all!

Sorry about Sonnys death - always enjoyed a conversation or a wave from him when visiting with Zach and Steffany.
Sonny’s love for Jesus shined through in his love for his family, friends, church family and everyone who knew him. Praying for Barb, his sons and family through this time of loss.😢🙏Praise God we have this hope in the soon coming of our Lord and Saviour. Soon Sonny will hear the trumpet sound when Jesus comes to take His children home.. May we all surrender to our precious Saviour and meet Sonny on that Resurrection morning, never more to part. 🙏❤️
Gene and I have enjoyed many enjoyable times with Sonny and Barb. Sonny was an asset to us on the beginning of our building project up north. What an amazing and knowledgeable man.
He was always there when you needed him, and never turned anyone down.
He was not only a spiritual asset to our Stanton Frost SDA Church, but he kept our church maintained.
We enjoyed many game nights, different outings, like the Polar Express just last winter, ball game, watching the musical castle at Christmas time, fun at their home in the UP, just to mention a few.
Many friends will miss his soft yet warm smile and greeting at church.
Sonny loved God and looked forward to
his soon return.
