Darlys Jean was my cousin. Her dad, Uncle Art (Crockett), was my dad's brother. The Crockett side of the family had an annual Crockett reunion so we all piled in the car and off we went. Even though Darlys was quite a bit older that I was she always played with us and made us laugh. She was a delight to be with. My twin brother, Richard, and I would often spend a week with Uncle Art and Aunt Dot on their farm when we were growing up. Darlys and her husband would often stop by. She was just a caring person. We live in Tennesse now but have stayed in touch with her and her sisters Margaret and Phyllis over the years. During two of our trips up to visit family we were able to see them, too. All three will be missed.
