Douglas Wagner's Obituary
Douglas D. Wagner, age 65, of East Lansing went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2018. Doug was born on February 8, 1954 in Greenville to Douglas W. and Yvonne (Walters) Wagner. Douglas was raised in Bath and graduated from Bath Public Schools with the class of 1972. Doug was employed as a machinist and supervisor by Bekum of America since 1973. On June 17, 1987 he married Vicki Sue Price at Sheridan Christian Church on Main Street. He enjoyed hunting, fishing. He would go with a bunch of friends to Canada. He had a motorcycle and enjoyed riding it. He also enjoyed family trips to Florida. He liked watching the Discovery and History channels on TV as well as classic car shows. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes. And he loved to play chess.
Doug is survived by his wife of 29 years, Vicki Sue Wagner; 3 step-children, Vernon (Kristie) Misner, Russell Misner, and Suzette (Dave) Hartman; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gary Lee (Diann) Wagner and niece Sara Wagner, and Daryl Robert Wagner; and lots of step nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Yvonne Wagner.
Vicki would like to express a thank-you to McLaren Hospital, to all of the doctors, nurses, staff and Hospice House of Mid-Michigan for the wonderful care they did for my husband Doug Wagner. You all did a wonderful job in caring for him. Also, to our children, Thanks for being there for both of us thru this very hard time.
Funeral Services for Doug will be at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Edmore on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until time of service. All are invited to a luncheon at the Church of the Gentle Shepard following the interment at Day Township Cemetery, McBride. Contributions in Doug's memory may be made to Vicki.
