Joe Verschaeve posted a condolenceUncle Eddie lived a great life. He married a beautiful woman and fathered five beautiful children. The shared memories that come from his long life are all so good and most of them fun and funny. He had an ability to see the humor in everyday life and brought smiles to our faces and laughs to our bellies. The next time we see him will be in heaven. He will be waiting there in his yellow and black Torino listening to Tiger baseball on the radio.
Cathy Holme lit a candleDad, I miss you so much. It's hard to believe you will no longer physically be a part of our life. However your wonderful smile and loving memories will forever be. You and mom worked so hard to provide a great life for our family and you were able to have a long happy retirement together with your many friends and family. You were such a trooper until the end and I know you didn't want to leave us but you no longer suffer and are peaceful now. As I told you-you will now be my guardian angel. You are the best dad I could ever wish for and I am glad you are mine! I love you Dad.
-Your kittycat Cathy

Kevin Lampron uploaded photo(s)I'm remembering some of the funny things about dad.
He never drove with the windows down,
He never walked on a beach without shoes, He never listened to music unless someone else had it playing, mostly listened to WWJ and WJR hockey and baseball or news.
One time we stopped at the local grocery store, we bought candy bars, I also bought a drink to wash it down, not dad though, growing up in the depression era, he naturally wanted the flavor to last, it was a Snickers bar.
I'm going to miss you dad, I love you!
