Edward Edsel Lampron's Obituary
Edward Edsel Lampron of Canadian Lakes, MI, husband, father, grandfather, and so much more, passed away April 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 94 years old. Ed was born September 7, 1925 in Detroit, MI, the son of Prime and Alice (Richard) Lampron. He proudly served his country during WWII, and was a member of the Joint Assault Signal Company (JASCO) in the Army. A lifelong Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan, Ed lived in Redford Township, MI, where he could easily enjoy home games before retiring to Canadian Lakes in 1991. He loved playing golf, bowling and gardening. Ed was the loving husband of, Janet Lampron, for over 71 years; devoted father to his children, Lawrence Lampron, Ronald Lampron, Catherine Holme (Scott), Gordon Lampron (Elizabeth), Kevin Lampron (Dawn); adoring grandfather to Todd Lampron (Amanda), Kendra Lampron, Ian Holme, Ross Holme, Laura Lampron and Christopher Lampron, and affectionate great-grandfather to twins Austyn Lampron and Addyson Lampron. Ed was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Roland Lampron, Yvette French and Maurice Lampron. Per Ed’s wishes, cremation and burial will take place with a Memorial Mass to follow at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, when it is safe to do so.
