Her Navy wife’s life brought her and James to numerous overseas postings, including Cuba, Japan, Guam, The Philippines and Okinawa, where they created memories that fueled their shared love of travel. Together, they explored the world, often cruising to new destinations.
Betty was also a talented bowler, known for holding a higher average than her husband, much to her family’s delight. Her involvement in a Mardi Gras Krewe during her years in New Orleans showcased her zest for life and love for community
