Skooter and I met in Greenville when we were still both teenagers. With similar life experiences, Interests, and only an 11 month age difference it became obvious right away that we would be good friends. We shared a passion for Jameson whiskey, music, guns, hunting, concerts, anything loud really, and only became closer as time went on. Life pulls people in different directions but we always stayed close. I have to mention the kindness that his parents and family have shown me through the years, from the very beginning they became like an extension of my own family. (Who also had allot of love for Skoot) During a time when it is difficult for me to see the good in anything I am constantly reminded of that. It is impossible to overstate the positive impact that his mom, his boys, Autumn, and the family have had on my life and I am extremely grateful that they are a part of it. The world seems like a very strange place without my closest friend in it but I am grateful to God for his family, and that I had him in my life for the time that I did. We had allot of love for each other, he was my brother he will be deeply missed.
At one point in my younger years, Skooter was my best friend. He always knew how to make people laugh, he always had a smile on his face! I can't remember a lot of my younger years, but one thing stands out from everything I tried to remember. He used to do this thing to make our group of friends feel more connected I guess...? If you can comment below to this and lmk who you are I'd love to catch up! But you'd be just sitting there on his porch at his mom's and dads and he'd just start going on and on about how bad ass his nova was. Then he would just get quiet, and as you're thinking about what to do or say to cure the boredom, Skooter would do this odd sound and you'd just slowly turn and look at him as he say there with his hat on backwards, and a smile so big you couldnt do anything besides laugh... That sound was kinda on the quiet side. "Iggy Iggy". Haha! I'm gonna miss you bro!
I have so many memories of you growing up Scoot...You used to drive Sherri and I nuts when you were little! You were a little stinker! However, you grew into a man who had a huge heart. I wish we had hung out more as adults, but time and distance tend to do that. Rest peacefully little cousin. XOXO
Toni and Diane so sorry to hear of your loss. Hugs and prayers for you and your. families
There is not enough space on this wall to share my memories of you. I remember when you were born. I remember how you would try to build explosives when you were very little, so smart. You were always there with my brother. Scooter was more than my cousin he was my friend.
Our thoughts are with you and your family Gary! Tom and Jessica Young
I met Skooter about 20 years ago when you were a teenager at 5 Corners store. You will be missed. Chrissy
