Gary "Skooter" Scott Young's Obituary
Lakeview-Gary "Skooter" Scott Young, age 35, of Lakeview passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital. Skooter was born in Grand Rapids on June 20, 1985, the son of Gary and Toni (Stevens) Young. He was raised in the Lakeview area where he attended school, graduating with the class of 2002, and continued his education at Montcalm Community College where he studied welding. Skooter could do anything he set his mind to, and was certified in several different professions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding and visiting friends and family. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. More than anything he loved his family and friends and cherished the time he spent with them. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
Skooter is survived by his fiancé, Autumn Sage; his sons, Dameon, Dryden, Bryson; daughters, Alexis, Ayaeya; his parents, Gary and Toni Young of Lakeview; sisters, Kimberly (Dennis) Waldron of Alma, Heather (Heath "Reno") Stork of Canadian Lakes, Sherri (Dave) Hart-Warner of Lakeview; grandmother, Diane Nichols of Remus; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rolland "Speed" Stevens, Ken Nichols, and Arthur and Martha Young.
A celebration of life visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, with a public time of sharing at 6:30 PM.
