James R Mehlhorn's Obituary
James Richard Mehlhorn, age 55, of Canadian Lakes passed away Mon., March 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. A Funeral Service will be held at Janowicz Family Funeral Home on Sat., April 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends on Fri., April 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 1:00PM to the time of service.
James had an infectious personality, always willing to help others and it showed through by caring for his mother for 15 years. He was loving, giving and never gave up on anyone. He loved a good laugh and developed many special relationships because of his good nature. James worked hard at everything he did, including his job as a personal maintenance man in the Canadian Lakes area. He was know as a “ball of fire” by many of his customers. James played just as hard as he worked. He loved to fish and golf, but spending time with his grandchildren was what gave him the greatest joy in life.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Betsy Ann Mehlhorn; one son, Matthew; one daughter, Michelle; two sisters, Susan (Stephen) Taylor and Christine (Dennis) Weiand; eight grandchildren, Bronzen, Brittan, Braxtan, Gracie, Jenna, Erica, Lindsey and Camille.
James was preceded in death by his father, Richard James Mehlhorn; one sister, Paula Bennett and one niece, Amanda Taylor.
