Lyle is the oldest of the Bennett boys & my husband is the youngest. We lost Him( David)on March 30 2023. I met Lyle & Ardith at a wood cutting for their Mother & Ed. I felt like one of family right away & spent many happy days with them sitting around the kitchen table drinking coffee & David told me he had a small piece of paper in his helmet while in Viet Nam with Lyle's phone # on it because he wanted Lyle to receive the message first & be with his Mom when the news came If he "didn't make it back". My heart is breaking for his 4 Girls & Grandchildren because I know what a hole this has left in their hearts. Sending as much as I can from Mt & Wa. I love you all, Aunt Donna & kids.
I first met Lyle through amateur radio, talking with him on the Edmore repeater and by simplex during Skywarn events. Later, I was happy to discover that he enjoyed black powder shooting, leather working, and other outdoor pursuits at some of Trapper John's events. I enjoyed talking with Lyle, and will miss him
