Margie Esther Hubbard's Obituary
Margie (Manley) Hubbard of Lakeview passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2021. Margie was born to Flora (Briggs) and Walter Manley on April 24,1935, and was welcomed home by her big sister, Verna. The bond between Verna and Margie grew stronger as they grew and they were always the best of friends. Margie met the love of her life at an early age and married George E. Hubbard on March 5, 1949. Together they enjoyed raising their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Spending time with family and friends was always important to Margie. She had many hobbies including fishing, bowling, playing bingo, shopping, collecting, photography and memory-keeping.
Surviving Margie are children, George (Denise) of Howard City, Linda Finch of Coral; grandchildren, Brian (Katrina) Corwin of Howard City, Karen (Steve) Jarema of Boyne City, Julie Burgan of Mt. Pleasant, Lori (Dan) Nolf of Cadillac and Tammi (Jason) Ryan of Spring Lake; 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Freda Castle, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank-you goes to the wonderful caregivers who have assisted the family for the last 5 years.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, George; an infant daughter, Bonnie; parents; sister, Verna Thornell; and son-in-law, Jerry Finch.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9th at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Dave Hansen officiating. Interment will follow at the Reynolds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children may be left at the funeral home. Friends may call on the family from 11:30am until 1pm prior to the service.
