Maria "Diane" Stout's Obituary
Lakeview-Maria Diane Stout, age 74, of Big Rapids passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Lakeview on December 7, 1947, to Max and Oradell (Andrus) Stout. Diane was raised in the Lakeview area and graduated from Lakeview Community Schools in 1966. She continued her education at the University of Chicago, where she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing. Diane was employed at the University of Chicago, and McNeal Hospital as a registered nurse in the ICU. She later returned to Trinity Health System at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids before retiring in 2010. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, which led to many trips all over the world. Diane will be remembered for her strong faith and love of Jesus.
Diane is survived by 3 brothers, Ben (Karen) Stout of Lakeview, Rex Stout of Big Rapids, Brian Stout of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Oradell, and a brother, Max Stout Jr.
According to Diane's wishes a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Hinton Township Cemetery.
