Carol, I just found out about Mark yesterday. I am so sorry. Mark was such a big part of my life for many years. I know we lost touch several years ago but please know you and Mark were always in my heart. You and Mark were always so gracious and took me when in I was down and out. I will never forget all the great times we had together. Mark taught me so much about life and cars. (as you know I can't fix anything) Over the last few years we kept saying we were going to get together for a reunion and time got away from us all. I love you both and you are in my thoughts. Lonny
I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Mark's passing. I was blessed to work with Mark at United and Kelsey Hospitals for six years. Mark was a pillar of strength and he had a heart of gold. Mark was always aware when someone needed help and was off to assist at the drop of a hat. His kindness will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this difficult time.
Carol, we are so sorry for your loss. Although Panama was long ago and far away, and we failed to stay in touch, we both remember the kindness you and Mark always showed to "orphaned" Sailors. Mark was always a calm voice of reason in the middle of excitement. From post mid watch fishing on Lake Gatun to gatherings at the Bohio and dinners at your home, you both improved the quality of our lives when it mattered. The compassion you both shared was ultimately responsible for our marriage, even if it took us 28 years to finally get around to it. Carol, Nicholas and Heidi, I am so sorry for your loss. Mark's passing will leave a big hole in our hearts for lots of people. The four of us go back a long ways, we lost touch every now and then but always managed to regroup and catch up. Phone calls would pick up right where we left off as if we chatted yesterday and months and years could have gone by. I will never forget Mark, Carol, and Bro pulling up in my folks yard in Maine for our wedding. You sure surprised us and so close after the loss of Eric. So many memories and good times we had. Too many to list and so many more we could have had. Carol, stay in touch if you need anything we are a phone call away. Funky dude RIP. You will be forever loved and always missed.
