Mark St. Clair Jones' Obituary
Lakeview-Mark St. Clair Jones, age 62, of Lakeview passed away at Spectrum Health Kelsey Campus on December 3, 2019. Mark was born in San Francisco, CA on March 19,1957, the son of Donley and Virginia (Rose) Jones. He was raised in Lakeview and graduated from Lakeview Community Schools with the class of 1975. Mark joined the United States Navy and served his country honorably for over 20 years. After retiring from the Navy he returned to Lakeview, where he worked for the Village of Lakeview, Spectrum Health Kelsey and Tamarack Sports. He met Carol Marciniak when they were both stationed in Washington, DC, and they were married in her hometown, Cheektowaga, NY on April 20, 1979. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, moose and deer shed hunting, racing cars, snowmobiling, and riding quads through the back roads. He got the biggest kick out of helping people he didn't know. He loved his family and friends and the adventures they went on together. He took his kids on many excellent cross-country adventures when they were younger, making many wonderful, lifelong memories. His greatest adventure, and favorite pastime was spending over 42 years happily married to Carol.
Mark will be missed and is survived by his wife, Carol Jones of Lakeview; his children, Nicholas (Jennifer Strom) Jones of East Lansing, and Heidi Jones of Sidney; his sister, Karen (Steve) Gadouas of Washington State; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eric St. Clair Jones; his parents, Donely and Virginia Jones, and a sister, Kathleen Miller.
A celebration of life for Mark will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview. Military honors will begin at 6:30 PM. A raffle drawing for some of Mark's bears will be held at the end of the evening. Must be present to win and be prepared to take your prize with you.
A final memorial rosary will be given at St Charles Catholic in Greenville, MI prior to 5:00 PM mass on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
