Marvin John Mills' Obituary
Marvin John Mills age 72, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at home with family at his side. Marvin was born January 20, 1943 in Alma, Michigan the son of Howard and Norma (Sparks) Mills. Marvin was united in marriage to the former Julie Fisk in 1977. She preceded him in death in 1999. Marvin retired from General Motors after giving them over 30 loyal years of service. He was a longtime member of the Rock Lake Association. He volunteered and donated too many of his local charities. Marvin was always helping people in need. He enjoyed farming, golf, garage sales, and playing cards and was a very avid TOY collector.
Marvin is survived by his children; Denise Edgar, John Alan Mills and wife Shelly, Julie Eckelbecker, Steve Mills and wife Lisa, Teri Mills-Lee and husband Robbie, Jim Custer and Jason Custer, 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister; Cynthia and Rod Ginther, brothers; Ron and Vicki Mills, Rod and Linda Mills and Dave and Karen Mills. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and wife Julie.
A Funeral Mass for Marvin will take place Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary's Alacoque Parish, Edmore, Michigan with Fr. Dominic Tirkey to officiate. Visitation will take place Monday, April 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Brigham Funeral Chapel-Vestaburg with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Those wishing to do a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Rock Lake Association.
