I'm so sorry to learn of Michael's passing. I only talked with him a few times after Global Studies school was merged. He was an excellent academic advisor for our students and so very nice to everyone in the school.

I have wonderful memories of Michael from his undergraduate and graduate years as a student at Colorado State University. It was a gift to watch this young man, challenged by his illness, grow into an amazing mature man and professional. He often spoke with me about his life, questioning an unknown future. Michael's energy, resilience, intelligence, passion kept him on an amazing journey and I am hopeful that I was able to help him along the way. He made me laugh and his infectious smile and love of life was an inspiration for everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. My condolences to his family, friends, and fraternity brothers. Thank you Michael for touching our lives. Rest in peace. You deserve it. We will miss you but will always keep you in our hearts.
