Dear Jan and family. I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I have so many fond memories of him. He used to hang out with the FM youth group sometimes. I remember when the youth group painted the social hall and a paint roller fight broke out. Paul ended up paint free because he had a long handled roller. When he was in Vietnam the youth group used to pack and send empty coffee cans full of baked goods to the soldiers we knew of. Paul wrote back to say that by the time the packages reached him everything was mostly crumbs but everyone enjoyed it anyway. He said it was a taste of home.

Truly saddened to receive news of Paul's passing. In knowing no one, he was a valued, welcoming friend during a mid-high school move to Lakeview for dad to pastor the Free Methodist Church. So many fond memories of "cruising" the streets of Lakeview in Paul's cool car, shooting endless baskets in the school gym after hours (since he had keys) & working alongside him in summer jobs at the school. I regret that distance & different life paths hindered ongoing contact. But he was certainly a "God-send" in that time. I'll always be grateful. My prayers go out to Jan & the whole family.
