Pauline Lois Decker-Foster's Obituary
Pauline Lois Decker Foster passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on April 1, 1930, the daughter of Hugh Wesley Storey and Mildred D. Kimball Storey.
Pauline was a devoted caregiver throughout her life, dedicating her time and heart to helping others in the healthcare field. She was also a talented quilter whose beautiful creations have kept many people warm over the years. A woman of steadfast faith, Pauline was one of the most faithful Christians—living her beliefs through her actions more than words.
A true nurturer, Pauline opened her home and her heart to over 21 foster children, providing them with love and stability. Raised on a farm, she carried that same work ethic throughout her life. She was deeply involved in her church community as a Sunday School teacher, treasurer, and prayer warrior. Pauline was known for her diligence, humility, and her delicious pies, but most of all for her unwavering love for her family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her brothers: Wayne, Vernon, Carl, Dennis, Dick, and Gary. Sisters Majail, and Betty. Children: Sharon Panozzo, Larry (Deborah) Decker, Kathleen (Mike) Evans, Bradley (Tami) Decker, Mark (Jill) Decker, and Kimber (Kathy) Decker; as well as 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s Loris Decker, Warren Decker, and Hubert Foster; brothers Keith, and Darl; sisters Joyce and Hazel; daughter’s Judy Jones and Lori Decker; grandsons Andrew and Cody; and great-granddaughter Mechelle.
Visitation will take place at Janowicz Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Janowicz Family Funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Pauline’s life was one of faith, family, and service—an example to all who were blessed to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Deerfield AFC Home and Millbrook Free Methodist Church.
