Pauline Lydia Welch's Obituary
Edmore - Pauline Lydia Welch, age 94, of Alma passed away at her home on Monday, December 27, 2021. She was born in Alma on September 6, 1927, the daughter of Loyal and Clara (Ebright) Marcham. Pauline was raised in the Ithaca area where she attended school. She married the love of her life, Ira Welch on June 27, 1944. They spent 46 years together before his passing in 1990. She was a full-time homemaker and busy mother of 13 children. She enjoyed flower gardening, feeding the deer, knitting and crocheting. Pauline loved her family deeply, and cherished the time spent together, especially with the grandchildren.
Pauline will be missed and is survived by her children, Ira Milo (Margaret) Welch of Vestaburg, Darlene (Gale) Lombard of Farwell, Nila Garrett of Hendersonville, TN, Mary (Harold) Johnson of Lake, Niles Welch of Gould, Kerry (Sharon) Welch of Ithaca, Sherry (Brian) Shaw of Alma, Kim Welch of Farwell, Ronda Lombard of Ithaca, Wendy (Chris) Medvecky of Hendersonville, TN, and Larry Welch of Alma. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Welch; parents, Loyal and Clara; two sons, Steven Welch, and Dennis Welch; three sisters, Lavonna Lott, Clover Spitzley and Mildred Matthews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Pine River Church of God in Vestaburg, with Pastor Henry Hawver officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until time of service.
