I will continue to cling to the many memories I have of Randy from when I worked at St. Michael's & he was serving God's Helping Hands. What a giving faithful soul he shared with so many, including me...all our talks were so helpful to me. He indeed was a wonderful person...his entire family was a definite gift from God to all of us!!!! RIP
I remember when no one wanted my Brother and Me, but when Randy Piatt saw us he took us in with his wife Pamela Piatt would I'll miss you so much Dad and I love you too
I remember growing up with Randy as our youth Minister in Rodgers Heights while he and his wife Pam was going to college at Great Lakes Bible College. We would go on trips have car washes etc also a couple of years we would have auction 's and we would have a chance to be with other people at the church and do chores etc . My people I helped out they took me out to dinner after I got done helping Mrs. Dukes out cleaning the house. I miss those days God Bless you all . Prayers. Rhonda (Tinker)
Randy was my dad’s best friend. He is one of the kindest and most giving human beings that I have met. He was a family friend for as long as I can remember. My husband and I had the great blessing to have our marriage presided over by Randy. That was almost 36 years ago. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was 18 at the time and we were pregnant with our first child. We were already engaged but the wedding was moved up because of finding out we were having our son. Randy took me to the side that day before the ceremony and put his arm around me and said “Tammy, God is blessing you with a beautiful family, and that is nothing to be ashamed of.” He was right… 36 years and two grow children with families of their own and God is still blessing us. I don’t think Randy ever realized how much of a gift he gave us that day, not just by doing the marriage ceremony but also by allowing me to find joy and blessing in moving forward into being a young mother. Randy was a wonderful blessing to everyone he touched in life and he was a great friend to my dad throughout their years at Wolverine and throughout their shared love of God. Randy will be missed.
There are not enough complimentary words to describe Randy. He was full of love, kindness, emapathy, guidance, compassion, faith, patience, humor, gentleness, reliabilty, faithfulness, committment, forgiveness, helpfulness to all whose lives he touched, humbleness, honesty, nonjudgemental, a Christain man in every sense of the word and much, much more. He was truly a gift in our lives. I have many memories of him so I will say, mostly I was proud, honored and blessed to call him my brother-in-law.
If I were to sum up his entire being and personality into three words, I'd have to describe him as our family's GENTLE GIANT because........HE WAS. (We all will remember and miss him here for longer than forever.)

I can’t wait to hear his joyous voice booming in heaven with God and Jesus. He’s going to make it such a wonderful place to be. I’ll miss his belly laughs and his sense of humor. Wish I could’ve seen him more recently, but life happens. You are treasured, Randy, and I miss you terribly. We’ll see you soon 💜💜
