January 6, 1954 – February 4, 2025
Randy Lee Piatt, a devoted minister and compassionate servant of his community, passed away
peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on January 6, 1954, Randy dedicated his life to faith and service. His ministry touched countless lives throughout Ohio and Michigan, where he shared messages of love, hope, and grace. For over 20 years, he served as Director at God's Helping Hands of Mecosta County, selflessly working to support those in need and embodying the true spirit of compassion. At the time of his passing, he was serving faithfully at Riverside Church in Stanwood, where he continued to inspire and guide those around him.
On August 13, 1977, Randy married the love of his life, Pamela Marie Kedrovicz, beginning a beautiful partnership rooted in faith and love. Together, they raised a loving family and made an enduring impact on their community.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela, and their children: Megan (Steve) DeMott, John Mallo, Bradley Piatt, Denise Piatt, Arthur Piatt, Donnetta Piatt, Jacob Piatt, Amanda Piatt, Felysia (Josh) Amon, Renoldo Piatt, and Charles (Kalina) Piatt. Randy carried with him fond memories of time spent at his grandmother’s home in Kentucky, where the warmth of family and tradition shaped his youth. He often reminisced about his first visit to Pam's family farm and the playful pranks his father-in-law delighted in pulling on him there — stories that brought laughter to countless family gatherings. Known for his endless repertoire of dad jokes, Randy had a gift for making others laugh until their sides hurt. His children will forever cherish the moments when he laughed until he was blue in the face alongside them, creating memories filled with joy and love.
Randy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his calling, his kind heart, and his tireless efforts to uplift those around him.
A visitation will be held to celebrate Randy's life on March 14, 2025, from 5-7PM at Janowicz Family Funeral Home, Remus, MI.
In honor of Randy’s lifelong mission, the family requests that donations be made to God's
Helping Hands of Mecosta County or Riverside Church in lieu of flowers.
