Roberta M Tiffany's Obituary
Roberta M. Tiffany, 71, of Edmore, MI, passed away on December 7, 2018, at her home, with her family at her side.
Roberta was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on October 25, 1947, daughter of Robert Morris Russell and Vera May (Thorson) Russell.
She graduated from Rockford High School in 1965 and afterward became a beautician. For over 20 years, she worked as a cashier, first at Crystal Flash and later at Speedway. She loved her job and working with the public. She could talk to anyone and made many lifelong friends with her friendly, cheerful personality and sense of humor. Everyone loved "Bert".
Roberta loved to be outside and enjoyed everything about nature, especially birds, butterflies and frogs. She had an unusual ability to coax wild animals to let her touch them. She enjoyed cutting wood with her husband and loved to visit with family and friends while tending a bonfire. Whenever she was with her grandsons, she wanted them to play music and sing for her. The song entitled "In The Garden" had a special meaning for her and it always made her cry. Her family will always cherish these memories and she will always be loved and missed.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Daniel Lee Tiffany, who lovingly and faithfully cared for her during her two months of illness.
She is also survived by her daughter, Melissa (Robert) Mayfield; her son, Tyrone (Angela) Hacker; and her husband's children, Jill (Corey) Wittengen, Ryan (Amanda) Tiffany and Meghan Tiffany.
Her grandchildren include: David and Daniel (Melissa & Robert); Eden, Renee, Brooke, Torie and Dylan (Ty & Angela); Landon, Justin and Lucas (Jill & Corey); Jamie and Danielle (Ryan & Amanda).
She leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren: Landon, Blake, Joshua, Karleah, Chera, Kendrali, Justin, Odonis, Dominic and Mary.
She is also survived by her sister, Judy Russell, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Jerry Russell and Don Russell, and a newborn son, Robert.
A funeral service will be held at noon, December 11, 2018, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
