Edmore- Rodney J Hoover, age 65, of Edmore peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Rod was born on September 23, 1959, to Glenn and Carolyn Hoover. He was a lifelong resident of Edmore, where he was raised and employed. Rod, or Hoop as he was known, worked at Packing Corporation of America for 28 years. He took yearly hunting expeditions to the Dakotas as well as fishing trips. Rod loved to enjoy a cold one in his garage, a good game of euchre, but a Lions game even more. Known for his loving personality and generous heart; the joy his laughter brought will be sorely missed.Rod is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Darlene; the children of his heart Bethany (Allyn), David (Wendy), Daniel (Tawnielle), Michael, Timothy; daughters Jennifer and Tara; 18 grandchildren; brother Matt (Anna) Hoover; sisters Kim Palmer and Traci (Rick) Foster; as well as 6 nieces and 2 nephews.Preceding Rod in death are his parents Glenn and Carolyn and brother Clyde Hoover.Rodney's family are honoring his wishes and planning a private gathering at a future date.
