Lakeview-Roger Lee Burns, age 62, of Morley passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Corewell Health Reed City Hospital Rehabilitation Center due to complications of a massive stroke. He was born in Lakeview on February 22, 1962, the son of Dale and Sally (Pitcher) Burns. Roger was raised in the Lakeview area where he attended school. He was employed as a ground's keeper at Tullymore and St. Ives golf courses at Canadian Lakes for over 18 years. Roger was a hardworking man who loved his family and flirting with the girls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.Roger is survived by his father, Dale of Morley; brother, Rod of Remus; 2 sisters, Renee of Altona, Robin of Morley; nephew, Jeremy (Missy) Burns; nieces, Kelly Ruppert of Big Rapids, Shanna Eckert of Stanwood; great-nephews, Christian, Hunter and Ethan Burns, Zander, Aiden, and Nolan Ruppert, Steven Underhill; great-niece, Destiny Ruppert; step-daughter, Clarisa Sipes; step-son, Justin Cobb; step-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his life partner, Bea Cobb and her daughter; mother, Sally Burns; and twin sister, Rhonda.A celebration of Roger's life will be scheduled for a later date.
