With heartfelt condolences,
Being best friends with Monte growing up, Steve was like a big brother to me too. I looked up to him in so many ways (as did Monte). He was the best softball player, basketball player, hunter, and sucker spearer I ever knew. One of the most striking memories of Steve was when we were loading cows into the trailer to head to the slaughterhouse. One of them knew it shouldn't go peacefully and it reared up on its hind legs and nearly trampled Steve. But he was so strong, he was able to manhandle that beast into submission. Steve was warm, funny, generous, and accepted me as family (as did all of the Edwards). He laughed when the cows chased me through the pasture (they never did like me), tried to teach me how to play football and baseball, and humored me when I cheated at euchre. He hosted many fun youth group parties at his house where I learned all kinds of games. We lost touch in recent years, but I loved him and will miss him. My heart aches for everyone who loved him and we are praying for God's comfort to surround you.
While I did not have the pleasure of knowing Steve personally, I have had the benefit of calling his lovely wife, Judith Renee', a dear friend for many, many years. Judi, we are wrapping you and your family in warmth with thoughts and prayers. Love the picture you chose, with Steve's inviting smile to welcome all to the love he felt in his life. You were his special angel, Judi. Stay strong, stay the course and keep the faith. Hugs to you all. Love, Jill, Joe, Brevin and Piper
We may have not been very close, but at family gatherings you were my favorite to sit and talk too about hunting, football, or anything in general. You made the best venison salami and gravy! You will be so missed by many. Gone but never forgotten!
Praying for you Aunt Judi and sending you strength as you deal with something so hard. I love you🙏😢
