Vicki was a very sweet lady who had a "down-home" way of speaking which always delighted me. When we were neighbors at Houghton Lake we use to watch each others door so that we could join in to go wherever the other one was going. We went shopping, to local fairs, and craft shows together. Of course, we both loved Arnie's ! I will never forget the day Vicki and I returned from one of our trips and there was Roy and my husband (Noel) bitching about not being able to see the lake because of the big pile of tree branches blocking their view in front of the big yard swing which they were sitting on. Vicki (in a powerful tone) said, "Why don't you just move the swing?" From that day on Vicki always referred to Roy and Noel as "Frick & Frack" followed by a little chuckle. Also, on a serious note, I remember when I had to have breast cancer surgery and I confessed to Vicki that I was afraid that if they were not telling me the truth .... I didn't know how I would handle it. NO PROBLEM, Vicki was at my home to be sure that when I removed the bandage she would be with me. THAT IS A REAL FRIEND. For my birthday in 2012, Vicki sent me a beautiful card which she hand made and it read: "Tea for Two ... me & you" Signed, "love you much, Mom, Aunt Vicki, Sister, Friend." Yes, she was all that to me! Even though we are very close in age, she did mother me at times .... especially when I was about to get into trouble. I loved Vicki very much and I will never forget her. I miss stroking her hair, rubbing her sore foot, and reading the Bible to her. I look forward to the day when I will be with her again standing next to OUR LORD. Her forever friend, Sharon Katz
