Obituary
Vicki L ( Bennett ) Cooper age 79, of Houghton Lake (formerly of Riverdale), passed away with family by her side on February 25, 2019 at Scnepps Health Care in St. Louis, MI. Vicki was the daughter of George W Bennett and Nadawis Lamreaux.
Vicki was born January 14, 1940 in Vestaburg, MI and graduated from Vestaburg Community School with the class of 1959.
Vicki married Roy Cooper on April 14, 1962 at Vestaburg Church of Christ in Vestaburg, MI.
Vicki went on and got her LPN Nursing at MMCC in Harrison, MI and she worked at several long- term care nursing homes for 27 years before retiring from the Laurels of Fulton.
She enjoyed puzzles, gardening, oil painting, and making cards.
Vicki is survived by her husband Roy of 56 years, son Jack Cooper of Riverdale, MI, daughter Heather Cooper-Bush (Rich) of Elwell, MI grandson Coltin Cooper and granddaughter Mariah Cooper.
Vicki was proceeded in death by her parents George W Bennett and Nadawis D Lamreaux (Sooy)and sister-in-law Ardith Bennett. Vicki will be sadly missed by her husband, children and brothers Lyle Bennett of Stanton, MI, Bary (Chris) Bennett of Vestaburg, MI, David (Donna) Bennett of Ronan, MT as well as eight nieces and four nephews.
The family will honor Vicki with a Memorial Service receiving family and friends on Saturday, March 2, 2019 Visitation at 10:00, Service at 11:00 a. m. at Pine River Church of God (9970 N Crystal Rd, Vestaburg, MI 48891) with Pastor George Showers as celebrant. The memorial will conclude with a luncheon immediately after.
Memorial contributions may be made to fund MMCC Nursing Program. Envelopes will be available at the church. Please make checks out to MMCC.
