William "Buck" Robert Fleck passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. He was at home surrounded by his family and beloved dog, Mac.Buck was born on August 13, 1955, to Dorrence and Joan Fleck in Edmore, Michigan. He grew up in the Read Obituary
Bucky's passing hurts my heart. He was a dear friend of mine in high school. Such a fun loving and gregarious soul. Many great times were had between Lakeview and Edmore comrades. This earth just lost a great soul. Many condolences to his family. Karen Goulet
Fellow classmates from the Class of 1973 who were in Mr. Naru's middle school math class will remember Bucky becoming a "Visual Aid" for how to divide fractions! Mr. Naru called 'William' to the front of the class and explained that when you divide fractions, you invert and multiply them. At that moment, Mr. Naru picked up Bucky and literally inverted him in front of the class! Over the years, many of us who were in that math class have fondly reminisced about that lesson-and I dare say few have forgotten how to invert and multiply!
Bucky will be sorely missed. His hearty laugh and throaty chuckle were long-time trademarks. Bucky was great friends with my husband, Cal Beach. They could often be heard recalling stories from their days working on gas pipeline construction, as well as their shared time working at Hitachi. In recent years, they often compared Detroit Tiger anecdotes, as well as shared hunting and fishing escapades. I am sure that is continuing even now-and if I listen hard enough, I can almost hear them swapping stories and laughing loudly.

I first met Bucky back in the 1960's playing Little League baseball against his Six Lakes team. I played for Stanton. We always had competitive games and Bucky was very competitive. We continued competing in junior high and high school in baseball, football and basketball. Later in life , I'd run into him occasionally at the bar in Six Lakes. I always enjoyed reminiscing with him. So sorry to hear of his passing. RIP Bucky.
Buck will be missed by many both family and friends.
When my grandfather (Kenneth Kirk) passed away it was helpful to talk to you about your memories together. It helped me mourn his death and learn more about him as a man as I started growing up. I always loved coming over and watching the tigers games with you and my father. I will miss you and the memories that you would share.
Sending thoughts to the family of Bucky, I knew Bucky from my high school days, I graduated from Lakeview High School and spent time in Edmore with my Montabella Mustang friends. I've known Bucky since we were little kids. My family & his were friends for many years. My Grandma had a special place for him in her heart same as me. We had some great times. Grandma will be glad to see him again in heaven as I will also someday.
He was a great guy, was one of the my coaches in Jr high. Always enjoyed our conversations at the pub. Bless ya pal see you on the other side.
